***UPDATE May 11, 2020***
WOW, nearly 5 years later and this app is STILL WORTHLESS. no live stream AND extremely limited movie selection because greedy A+E networks has licensed out the majority of programming to other providers and won't unlock this app to it's full potential. I was hoping for better.

***UPDATE December 9, 2015*** Lifetime no longer offering movies with the original app?
It seems that Lifetime will be removing all movies from the original app so they can focus on their PAID Lifetime Movie app.
I am a Comcast subscriber, as such I have the Lifetime channel included in my service that I already pay for. I added the original Lifetime app to my Fire TV but there no movies available (pretty much the only reason I wanted the app). assuming it was a glitch I contacted A+E Networks, the owner of Lifetime, to see what the issue was. the following is a cut and paste of that email exchange:

Hello, I have Comcast/Xfinity cable service. I recently added the Lifetime app to my Amazon FireTV . The app details on the Amazon website (as well as the Lifetime website) state that 25+ movies are available. There are zero. Is the a contract limitation with Comcast or a problem with the app?I also have neighbors who use Verizon Fios, they have a similar issues, no movies available. Thank you for your response.

For less than the price of one rental, you can gain access to more than 30 Lifetime movies each month. The app contains featured playlists, movie genres, and new movies are added every week. This is available only on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Roku for now.

Perhaps they misunderstood me but why would I want to pay $3 more per month for something I already pay for? The answer is GREED.

No Comcast support with Amazon Fire TV. I wish Amazon would allow sorting reviews by device. Clearly most of these reviews are for various phones and tablets which Comcast supports. No such love for the AFTV. Additionally I have seen this app installed on a relatives AFTV linked to Verizon FIOS, the app works fine with FIOS but there are zero movies (even though the description clearly states 25 movies would always be available), again probably due to contracts between the two companies. In fairness to the consumer I believe the creators of these apps should be required to list what is and is not available by device and cable customer.
