I love how Dr. Fung organizes his arguments and gives so much history and background in such an accessible manner. And the story itself was dramatic, so many twists and turns, forgotten insights later revisited. I'm left wondering if I really should have had a radical hysterectomy 3 weeks ago for stage 1a, grade 1 cancer. I've been intermittent fasting and eating keto for years (with a period of not doing so during the first six months or so of the pandemic) and it's possible that it was in a state of equilibrium. Hard to know, though. It was found in an ultrasound that was done to verify that my IUD had moved. Anyway, I hope in the future there'll be a way to tell if such a life-altering (and fertility-ending) surgery is really necessary, whether it's really getting worse or not. I also hope that someday immunotherapy becomes possible for everyone, to avoid such surgeries.
