Description

EDITORIAL REVIEWS This Music Activity and Educational Program was developed by a team of healthcare providers (Neurologist, Psychologist, Nurse) and professional musicians as an at home or on-the-go music activity and educational program to stimulate the mind and exercise memory. It is meant to provide meaningful activities to patients with memory loss. CDs can be listened to on a daily basis or multiple times a day. Vol 1 is for new listeners and provides a general introduction to a home activity program, music history lessons, and ambient music to be listened to while sleeping. The program has been used by individuals across a variety of levels of functioning, including normal thinking and memory skills, Age-Related Memory Loss, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), mild, moderate and severe Alzheimer's disease, vascular cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson's disease dementia, among others. Tracks are divided into categories based on difficulty. To learn more about the latest advances in Alzheimer's disease, and how music therapy can help, read Harvard-trained Neurologist, Dr. Isaacson's latest book.
