Lyrics: The lyrics to the hunting party are pretty much the same throughout the entire album. They are about war, sacrifice, fighting, anger, fire, battlefields... you get the idea. I have always thought that Linkin Park's lyrics are really good on all their albums and they are and the choruses are usually weak as they are on the hunting party, but Mike's rapping lyrics are probably the best yet, you can really tell he put a lot of thought in to what he wanted to say. I don't know I mean I go back to Meteora and the rapping is amazing too, so I am a little conflicted I think the lyrics are really good, End of Story... 4/5
What the songs are emotionally about: Now this is where the album is weak... usually the emotion Linkin park gives is a raw and pretty deep (for the most part) however, this is simply one emotion anger, and that's all they really give. ANGER ANGER ANGER, yet they do have one song that's not so much anger which is Final Masquerade, but even with this song they still are angry at times. I love Linkin Park when they are angry but I also love them when they are not angry all the time. It's nice on most of the songs, but I would like a little more variety like... Living Things... they had anger, sadness, love, and forgiveness. The hunting party lacks that aspect.... so... 3/5
Rhythm/Beat: The rhythm of the guitar drums bass and synth/piano is amazing as always. I love all the riffs, and the drums are very raw and powerful. Now on this album there is guest artist and on two of the songs... All for Nothing, Rebellion, and Drawbar we have guest guitarist with, Page Hamilton, Daron Malakian, and Tom Morello correspondingly They each do a very good job on the instruments they are using. They add a fresh and unique feel to the song they contributed to. Overall 5/5

Length: The length of this album is good good length... for Linkin Park... it clocks in a 45 mins which is LP's longest studio album to date. I know I have always said that longer the better, but after listening to albums for all my life I have decided that over 40 mins is really good which is sad.... I like long albums, but it is the way the world is working, I mean Living Things was 36 so this almost 10 mins longer! Overall: 4/5

Vocals: The vocals to this album is really good. I believe Chester and Mike along with Page, and Rakim do a great job vocally on the album Chester's screams and clean vocals are purely amazing he has a voice unlike anyone it's amazing. Mike's raps are you know typical mike, not stupidly fast or annoying basic mike Shinoda rapping good good stuff. The guest vocals are really good too Page bringing a lot to All for Nothing, and Rakim doing his rap is good however, I get why he is there because he is one of mikes all-time favorite rappers, but I would much prefer Mike to rap, because you know Linkin Park doesn't need a guest rapper because they have one. Overall: 4/5

Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes I definitely would, but if they have never heard anything by Linkin Park and I would suggest Living Things first.
