Description

This lightweight yet durable design is crafted from precision dye-cut Kydex, vinyl-coated polyester woven mesh, and premium full-grain leather. The portion that covers the eye features a Kydex frame, which lays on top of the woven mesh material. The full-grain leather used to construct the adjustable straps provides maximum durability; and the signature convex shape creates space around the eye area while still remaining low-profile enough to fit underneath most eyeglasses. The lightweight mesh material allows for maximum comfort and airflow. Due to this, the piece is uniquely conducive to long-term wear. It’s ideal for those in warmer environments who typically struggle with sweat build-up, because it doesn't trap heat. As a result, moisture evaporates more efficiently. Additionally, it works well for those with light sensitivity because the mesh can block between 80% to 90% of light before it reaches the eye. This simultaneously functional and attractive patch ensures that onlookers cannot see past the mesh into the eye area. However, the wearer does have some ability to see out with it on. Therefore, the design provides the dual benefits of coverage and visibility. It’s a great choice for individuals who want/need to conceal their eye while still using it. This ability to maintain one’s depth perception makes it a perfect accessory for costumes! The product is hand-crafted and takes approximately two hours to complete. It’s constructed to fit BELOW THE EYEBROW and WITHIN THE EYE ORBIT to flow with the face’s natural curves and symmetry. Thus, providing a more natural and aesthetic look. I chose Kydex for the frame of the patch rather than leather, because in my experience with other products, when the leather absorbed moisture from my face the patch would lose its shape. Moreover, I made my design convex because I was frustrated that my eyelid and eyelashes were hitting the inside of many styles I tried.
